ECU administrators are required to make determination of condition levels based on campus conditions. Campus conditions are good, according to Facilities staff who have been working since early Thursday morning to clear parking lots and sidewalks, however, some icy areas remain.

ECU will continue to operate under Condition 1 under the Adverse Weather policy until 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 7. The entire policy can be read here: http://www.ecu.edu/prr/06/45/02

Under Condition 1, individuals can CHOOSE to come to campus based on their individual travel conditions. Employees are urged to use extreme caution, if they elect to come to campus, because many city and county roads are snow-packed and icy. The latest road conditions can be checked at www.ncdot.gov/traffictravel/ and http://www.ecu.edu/prr/06/45/02

Conditions experienced by individuals will vary, and everyone is responsible for their own actions and safety.

The next announcement will be made by 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 7, unless conditions warrant an earlier update. This announcement will include information about class schedules. This information will be posted on www.ecu.edu/alert , as well as posted on ECU’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

For information about campus services, including dining and transit, visit: www.ecu.edu/studentaffairs/

Details regarding the ECU Physicians clinics will be available on a special hotline: 252-744-5080 or 1-800-745-5181.
